Now that you know what it takes to make the change in your business niche, and you know why you need to make the first move in your business niche. As a business owner you’re inclined to act and not react to changes in your business niche and by now we believe that you know the consequences and attribution attached to becoming a first mover in your business niche. In this concluding part of the series we discuss in clear terms how to make the first move consequently becoming the first mover and business leader in your business niche.

How to make the first move

Since you have dared to make the first move in your business niche. We would detail out how we believe you can make the first move in your business niche. Now we believe you are looking for a recipe for making the first move but the truth is this;

Now that must have burst your expectation and dampened your morale. You most likely have been looking for a way to make that change and most likely have been looking for a list of steps that highlight how to make that first move.

This is particularly true because business processes and strategies vary across the various business niches out there, the business terrain and the economic situations that govern your business niche so inadvertently any specific strategy provided may just not work for your own business. But if there is no recipe on how to make the first move, then why this article you may ask.

Not all hope is lost, yes there is no recipe on how to make the first move but rather than a simple recipe when provide you a simple step to becoming a first mover. This is the only step viable for all businesses irrespective of the niche you are.

Act

This is the only thing you can do to make the first move. You have to learn to act and not react to situations. With all you know about what it takes to make the first move and why you should, the only step left is to act. You see this simple step is the only thing that differentiates you from the crowd.

By acting on what you already know, you would have defeated the most difficult challenge in making the first move. You need to know that first movers act while others react to changes so if you start acting you force others to react implicitly putting you in the fore and making you the leader.

Now let’s not be hypocrites, acting is scary and difficult, if it was that easy then everyone would act but that’s also why everyone is not a leader because everyone can’t lead. To act you have to be tenacious, determined and persistent. Most times especially at the inception, taking a first move may appear to be a bad move as things may not turn up immediately and most people tend to run back to the status quo, but if your move has been properly planned and strategized and you are confident in that decision then it’s time for forge ahead, we can’t over-emphasize the impact of persistence and doggedness. This belief in your newly chosen course of action is key and your prime stimulant in your course in becoming the first mover in your business.
